First run

  1. Vault path

    Where your markdown lives. Default is ~/Documents/Grafyn/vault/. Point it at an existing folder and Grafyn indexes it.

  2. Model runtime (optional)

    An OpenRouter key (a hosted model API) powers the canvas, distillation, and twin answers. Skip it if you only want the vault, or run models locally with Ollama instead.

Alongside the app, the installer adds a small local MCP server so tools like Claude Desktop can read and write your vault. It only runs while Grafyn runs.
